Who We Are
We are Anya Semenoff and Daniel Petty, the team of photographers behind A&D Photography. Our passion is, above all, telling stories through photographs with a mix of photojournalistic and artistic style. Our work has been published in The New York Times, The Denver Post, The Associated Press and other editorial clients.
Anya Semenoff
I love: The clear, rich blue of the Colorado sky. Being silly. Simplicity. Road trips. Dance parties in the living room. The smell of the forest. Black coffee. Writing letters. Quotes. Stationery. Adventures. Denver. Long, beaded, inexpensive necklaces. Converse sneakers. Hiking. Books. Reading. Hanging out with my three siblings. $1 taco nights. Making amateur videos. Fireworks. Bridges. The color of the evening light reflected in the windows of Denver’s skyline. Framed photographs. The Olympics. Travel. Cowboy boots. Movie marathons. Cheesy 80s montages. The sound of typing. Rich colors. Having an awesome partner in Dan.
If I could have a lifetime supply of something: It would be Pop Tarts. And also coffee. Coffee and Pop Tarts. But mostly coffee.
Things I treasure the most: My family. Seeing the world in pictures. The opportunities my supportive family and photography have afforded me.
Daniel Petty
I love: Running on long, quiet and empty roads. Twix bars (my Kryptonite). Gallon jugs of cranberry juice. The Sunday New York Times. WordPress. My family. New Jersey (yep, I said it) and the New Jersey shore. Exit 4 off I-95 in said state of New Jersey. Shifting time zones. 14ers. Track and Field. Filing on deadline. Trains. Travel. Airplanes. Long car rides. France. Remote cameras. Salmon. Spinach salads. $1 taco nights (OK, stole it from Anya). Reading. Writing. Sunsets. Sunrises. Contrasting color. Rain. Snowstorms. Summer lightning storms (and photographing them). Magazine profiles. Cafe du Monde. Reactions. Backpacking. Cheerios. Sushi. Scrabble. Shooting sports. Moments. King Cake. Climbing. Restaurant breath mints. Twitter. Having an awesome partner in Anya.
If I could have a lifetime supply of something: It would be frequent flyer miles. And coupons to have my shirts ironed professionally for free.
Things I treasure the most: God, family, friends from church, journalists at The Denver Post, and the opportunity to tell stories through pictures.
